    The Payroll Associate is an integral part of the Boyd Group’s payroll team responsible for processing accurate and timely payments for approximately 500+ employees. Ensuring highly accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll processing is of the utmost importance. Reports to the Payroll Supervisor.

    Responsibilities

    • Set up and maintenance of employees in the payroll system in compliance with federal/provincial wage and tax laws
    • Set up and accuracy of taxes
    • Administration of company benefits including RRSP
    • Deliver prompt, friendly and efficient customer service to employees who have questions regarding their pay and benefits
    • Keep informed on legislation and regulatory rulings impacting payroll and develop recommended solutions to ensure compliance in all federal and provincial jurisdictions

    Qualifications

    • 3-4 years experience in a similar payroll position processing a full cycle payroll
    • PCP Certification
    • Experience with ADP Workforce Now would be an asset.
    • Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills with a keen eye for details
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Ability to manage workload within tight deadlines through strong organizational and planning skills
    • Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Excel is required
    • Ability to work flexible hours when required
    • Legally authorized to work in Canada
